➥राष्ट्रीय बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग के बारे में महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य
राष्ट्रीय बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग का गठन, बाल अधिकार संरक्षण अधिनियम CRPA act-2005 के प्रावधानों के तहत किया गया ,
तथा बाल अधिकार संरक्षण अधिनियम को वर्ष 2006 में संशोधित किया गया।
➥राष्ट्रीय बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग का गठन/ सदस्य संख्या
राष्ट्रीय बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग का गठन एक अध्यक्ष एवं छः सदस्य से मिलकर के होता है।
आयोग के छः सदस्यों में से कम से कम 2 सदस्य अनिवार्य रूप से महिलाएं होनी चाहिए
आयोग के अध्यक्ष एवं सदस्यों को 10 वर्ष के अनुभव का प्रावधान भी किया गया है
आयोग के अध्यक्ष की नियुक्ति केंद्र सरकार के द्वारा की जाती है
➥नियुक्ति समिति में निम्नलिखित सदस्य होते हैं
- प्रधानमंत्री
- दोनों सदनों के विपक्ष के नेता
- गृहमंत्री एवं
- मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्री।
राष्ट्रीय बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग के अध्यक्ष का कार्यकाल 3 वर्ष का होता है।
➥राष्ट्रीय बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग के कार्य एवं शक्तियां
बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग के कार्य निम्नलिखित है-- बच्चों के उत्पीड़न से जुड़ी शिकायतों की जांच करना
- बच्चों को आतंकवाद, सांप्रदायिक हिंसा, घरेलू हिंसा, एड्स, वेश्यावृत्ति ,भिक्षावृत्ति आदि से बचाने हेतु कदम उठाना
- केंद्र या राज्य सरकारों के तहत आने वाले किशोर सुधार ग्रहों का निरीक्षण करना एवं उचित कार्यवाही करना गरीब बच्चों के अधिकारों से संबंधित मामलों पर विशेष ध्यान देना
- बाल अधिकारों के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाना
- बाल अधिकारों को श्रेष्ठ रूप से लागू करवाने हेतु विभिन्न अनुसंधान करवाना
- बच्चों से जुड़े कार्यक्रमों अंतरराष्ट्रीय संधियों और मौजूदा नीतियों की समीक्षा कर बच्चों के हित में उन्हें लागू करवाना
- चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन नंबर के माध्यम से शिकायतों पर तुरंत कार्यवाही सुनिश्चित करना।

Important facts about the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights
The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights was constituted under the provisions of the Protection of Child Rights Act CRPA Act-2005,
And the Protection of Child Rights Act was amended in the year 2006.
Constitution / Member Number of National Child Rights Protection Commission
The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights consists of a chairman and six members.
At least 2 of the six members of the commission must be women
Provision of 10 years of experience has also been made to the Chairman and members of the Commission.
The Chairman of the Commission is appointed by the Central Government.
The Appointment Committee consists of the following members-
- Prime minister
- Leader of the Opposition of both the Houses
- Home Minister and
- Minister of Human Resource Development.
The Chairman of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has a term of 3 years.
Functions and Powers of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights
The functions of the Commission for Protection of Child Rights are-
- Investigate complaints related to child abuse
- Taking steps to protect children from terrorism, communal violence, domestic violence, AIDS, prostitution, begging etc.
- To inspect juvenile reform planets under central or state governments and take appropriate action, pay special attention to matters related to the rights of poor children
- Raising awareness for child rights
- Undertake various research to best implement child rights
- Reviewing the international conventions and existing policies related to children and implementing them in the interest of children
- Ensuring prompt response to complaints through child helpline number.
